Welcome to Good Hope

Good Hope Psychotherapists, Inc. is a private outpatient practice begun in 1988 by Joseph M. Martin, LCSW and Sheri L. Fullas, B.S., M.H.T.

Although we have developed special interests in treating sexual trauma, sexual compulsions/ addictions and intimacy/attachment difficulties, we also treat a wide variety of other psychiatric diagnoses, such as depression and anxiety, grief, ADHD and COVID related issues.

Our clients have been referred from a variety of sources: the medical, clergy, legal and criminal justice professions, other therapists including drug and alcohol counselors, other clients and by self referral.

Each of us has extensive training and expertise. We place a high value on continuing our growth through professional workshops and conferences as well as personal growth experiences.

Our office reflects the professionalism, dignity and respect each person deserves when exploring their internal pain and conflicts.

What We Believe

Respecting and working within the value system of each person.

Current problems are often logical responses to what one has experienced. It is not what is wrong with the person; it is what has happened to the person.

Intimate relationships require each person to operate from a position of personal strength.

JOSEPH M. MARTIN, LCSW

Joe holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland.
